Here’s a track I recorded with MicahB about 2 years ago…reconfigured by Ishi’s Brad Dale. The original is a far cry, but I’m hoping the author, Richard Thompson, takes it as a compliment that his country classic translates to even the younger kids.
Yesterday I was eating queso and drinking beer with my friend Jennifer when I got a call to play with a Jessica 6 up in Denton that night. I dunno if it was the queso or the beer, but I went right for it and I’m so glad Stephen and I were put on a bill with such an awesome act. Former members of Hercules & Love Affair played a set that looked sexy and effortless and but lord knows they were multitasking like noone’s business. Wonderful. And had the chance to play with Denton’s FUR…cool stuff worth checking out!
UPCOMING SHOWS!
FRIDAY MARCH 26 Mercy For Animals Benefit @ The Cavern 8pm ($5-10 donation for charity)
FRIDAY APRIL 2 w/Mobley@ The Lounge on Elm St. 10 pm
FRIDAY APRIL 30 w/Man Factory and TBA @ The Cavern 10 pm
Our debut at the Cavern was a bit of a rushed affair, but it was heavenly to actually play what we’ve been working on, especially when sandwiched between the new dance-ophrenic sets from Billingham’s Defense System’s CJ and Robbie. You can read about the show on DC9 at Night (along with download of Song ABC).
Melissa Meaow and I are throwing a cocktail/dance party to bite our thumbs at the dubious Hallmark-sponsored day of overspending on dirty diamonds and fattening chocolate.
Please come, it’s free and you can make your own slutty Valentimes Card!
Thanks for a great show. It was my first time to see them live…they were jumping up and down on banquette seating like a trampoline and singing their hearts out. Wanz Dover’s remix of “Shake Your Dandelion” is real nice, too.
